Australia’s clean energy transition will not succeed on technology alone. It depends on trust, and on the confidence of the communities that will host and live alongside new projects.

That is why the Clean Energy Solutions Index was developed: to measure not just what Australians think about clean energy, but how deeply they support it. Built by 89 Degrees East with support from Boundless Earth, the Index provides a first-of-its-kind measure of “deep support” across 11 clean energy solutions, from rooftop solar to green manufacturing, through a one-number support score out of 100.

This webinar introduces the new Clean Energy Solutions Index Dashboard, offering participants a hands-on look at how to read the signals of strong social licence and turn national sentiment into local insight, and insight into action.

Dr Rebecca Huntley, Director of Research at 89 Degrees East, will share key findings from the national data, highlighting what drives and limits community support across Australia.

Glenn Byres, Director at 89 Degrees East, will explore why Australia’s transition depends not only on innovation but also on the ability to maintain public confidence in every community.

Rebecca and Glenn will be joined by Boundless Earth Director of Advocacy Nicky Ison. Together, they will demonstrate how the Index can serve as a communications compass for government, industry, and community leaders.

At a time when evidence-based, community-informed leadership has never been more important, the Clean Energy Solutions Index helps decision-makers act with confidence, translating sentiment into strategy for a clean, affordable, and trusted energy future.
